The massive success of Pou has lead into many games with the same style of gameplay. Here is a list of some of the most well-known and most obscure of these games. This list also includes games which feature Pou but are not made by Zakeh.

Virtual pet games

Note: This list only features non-animal virtual pet games with a gameplay similar to Pou. Take note that Tamagotchi cannot be on this list as it is older than Pou. My Talking Tom cannot be either, as the two games are unrelated.

List of Pou Internet phenomena/Pou-like games

Icon of Mou

Mou is a virtual pet game by hungrymousegames for Windows devices. The game is nearly identical to Pou, the only difference being the character on the game resembles a baby Pou with an oval body. The game lacks background music, and Mou cannot be given any clothes. The game can be downloaded here.

Frojo Apps

Various virtual pet characters made by Frojo Apps. The purple character in the middle is their mascot, Moy. The light blue one is Loy, and the green one is Joy.
Meep, another character from Frojo Apps.

Frojo Apps is a mobile app developer based in Uppsala, Sweden, that specializes in virtual pet games. Moy, a purple squid-like creature who appears in seven virtual pet games and more games of other genres, serves as the company's mascot. Frojo Apps also made similar games including Loy (a blue boomerang-shaped character), Joy (a light green character with arms), Meep (a blue character with arms), and a variety of other animals.

Even before Frojo Apps was formed, the CEO of the company, Fredrik Röstlund, worked for a now-defunct app company called Nealo Inc. One of the games created by that company is My Virtual Pet Care[1], and the premise of the game is to take care of a square magenta character which resembles the aforementioned Mou. The game bears many similarities to the first Moy game, such as the reused sound effects and the general layout of the game.

Much like Pou, Moy and the other Frojo Apps games also has bootleg games and clones, which can be found here.

My Boo

Boo, the mascot of the My Boo franchise.

My Boo: Virtual Pet Care Game, simply known as My Boo, is a mobile virtual pet game by the Brazilian app company Tapps Games. The player takes care of a blue ball-shaped character named Boo, and the gameplay is similar to Pou. There is also a 3D sequel to the game called My Boo 2 which was developed by the Portuguese branch of the company.

Much like Pou, My Boo also has bootleg games and clones, which can be found here.

My Chu

Screenshots from different versions of My Chu 2. In older versions, Chu (the green character) is accompanied by Fairy Puff (left), who was later replaced with Bubble (right).

My Chu is a series of two virtual pet apps created by Latvian digital artist Apofiss. Chu has a similar appearance and name to My Boo, however, the virtual pet character is green instead of blue. The player must collect bunnies and stickers which are randomly given in order to access certain items, which is a unique feature. Bubble, a small pink character (in older versions, a light blue character named Fairy Puff) who frequently interacts with the player's Chu, debuts in the second game.

The character originated as a live wallpaper for desktop and Android devices, which in turn is based on a digital artwork by the creator.[2] The live wallpaper also came with a companion app which rewards the player with items after playing minigames. Bubble and Fairy Puff also originated this way.

Much like Pou, My Chu also has bootleg games and clones, which can be found here.

My Virtual Tooth

My Virtual Tooth - Virtual Pet is a mobile virtual pet game created by Peaksel Games to teach children about practicing good oral hygiene. The players take care of a sentient tooth called Dee, however, taking care of it is similar to taking care of a Pou. The player may also brush the tooth with a giant toothbrush, similar to giving Pou a bath.

Potaty 3D

Potaty 3D (commonly referred to by some players as Pou 3D) is a series of 3D virtual mobile pet games starring a cartoon potato. The game is notorious for its unusual 3D designs and shading, unsuitable music for young players, incorrect grammar, and Potaty's more frequent than Pou. The game has various spin-offs which play basically the same (this includes Potaty 3D Free, Potaty 3D Classic, Potaty 2D, Potaty City, Potaty City 2, and 💩Potato💩) and many more games of different genres.

The same company also released two games featuring Azzy, a similar-looking character colored lavender. Azzy 1 is copied from 💩 Potato💩, while Azzy 2 is copied from Potaty 3D FREE and Potaty City 2. There also exists a Minion version of the game called Timons City.[3]

Ivi - Virtual Pet

ivi - Virtual pet was a mobile virtual pet created by Cumplibits. The game features a hot pink character in which the player must take care of. It is unknown why the game has been delisted from Google Play.

Dou RTX

Dou RTX is a 3D virtual pet game created by the Colombian YouTuber and independent game developer JasperDev.[4] The game's main character highly resembles Pou, and so are the UI and some of the minigames. This game was a fan attempt of making Pou into a 3D game, but the name was replaced to avoid infringement. The game was soon after deleted from the Play Store due to copyright issues.[5]

Pau RTX

Pau RTX is an Android parody "remaster" of Pou created by Vertex Fox (better know as Aguineu in Youtube). The game features a grotesque hyper-realistic render of Pou, and the game includes references to other indie games such as Among Us and Undertale.

Lou The Slime

Lou The Slime is a 3D virtual pet game developed by Andy Lukito, and published by Akhir Pekan Studio[6], featuring a light blue slime character. The main character was originally supposed to be Pou themself[7], and the game was originally going to be a 3D remake of Pou. This was changed later in development to avoid copyright infringement by Zakeh.

Tupek

Tupek is an Android virtual pet game created by Gear-Studio. The game involves the player taking care of Tupek, a yellow round virtual pet with round hands and feet. Much of the game takes place near a farm, as evidenced by the abundance of cows, fences, and fruit stalls. Navigating Tupek involves pulling the rug on the floor from left to right, resulting in Tupek following it. Tupek is among the earliest virtual pet games to be based on Pou. The game can be downloaded here.

Pau (EATTAP Studios)

Pau is a mobile virtual pet game featuring a blue character with purple hair. The game is known for its short gameplay, having no coins, minigames, decorations clothes, and other things not used.

Bou (Kanuni Games)

Bou : Virtual Pet is one of many unrelated games that bear the same name. In the version created by Kanuni Games, the player takes care of a large creature that resembles an orange. The game is infamous for its rushed coding, low budget graphics, and the fact that Bou's mouth sometimes turns into a realistic art style.[8]

Bootleg games starring Pou

List of Pou Internet phenomena/Fan games and bootlegs

Pou Back Home is an unofficial Flash game involving Pou made by 5xplay.com. The goal of each level in the game is to solve obstacles so that Pou can get back home. At the end of each level, regardless of each level, the person may get a predefined number of stars (usually depending on level score), and a glitch in coding in-game forced every level to be 3 stars (which is then considered a bug).

Pou Slacking (unofficial)

Pou Slacking is a series of Flash games in which Pou has to secretly complete missions while other Pous are watching. Pou's design in this game is similar to the art style of the real game, except that here Pou has two ball-shaped hands. The games in the series involve Pou Classroom Slacking, Pou Kitchen Slacking, Pou Halloween Slacking, and Pou Thanksgiving Day Slacking.

Various doctor/dentist games

Numerous Flash games website used to have notorious doctor simulator games, often using IPs from other companies without their permission. These games often have disturbing and violent cartoon imagery, with Pou being no exception. These games have significantly decreased after the discontinuation of Adobe Flash on December 31, 2020, however, some still remain on HTML5.

El Hermano de Pou

El Hermano de Pou (The Brother of Pou) is an unofficial platformer game where you play as Pou wearing a Cat Suit from Super Mario 3D World. The game is inspired by a series of parody animations by Chachotroll on YouTube, in Pou explores the Super Mario universe.

Pou Kissing

Pou Kissing is an unofficial Flash game in which Pou must kiss a girl Pou (who looks similar to Pou, but with a head bow and eyelashes) without anyone watching. Most of the game's assets were recycled from Pou Classroom Slacking.

Pou 2 (Korsa Live)

Pou 2 is not the actual sequel for Pou. Instead, it is a platformer game created by Korsa Live in which Pou has to traverse to worlds, while collecting power-ups and avoiding enemies (like the Super Mario series)[9]. The gameplay, level layout, and enemies are directly taken from Frojo Apps' Moy's World.

Pou Caring

Pou Caring is an HTML5 game on Yiv starring a baby Pou with hungry eyes. The game is a watered-down version of Pou, with lesser food and clothes. There is only one minigame (Water Hop), and the music is the Cliff Jump minigame theme. The game can be found in the Microsoft Store too.

Pou: The Original (Perpetuum Media)

Pou: The Original is an unofficial HTML5 version of Pou released by Perpetuum Media, created in 2021[10]. Much like Pou Caring above, the game has less features and items than the real version of Pou. The most noticeable feature in this version is that Pou's hamster is more interactive here than in the real game, as this one can be given food and can play along with the Ball. Only a few minigames are kept in this version. These are, in order:

Pit Pou

Pit Pou is an Android platformer game where Pou, with boots, has to save a girl Pou from a dragon. The game has only four levels, but each level is long. The icon is a weird cat Pou.

Pet Run For Pou

Pet Run For Pou is a platformer game in which Pou has to traverse to worlds while collecting power-ups and avoiding enemies (like the Super Mario series)[11]. Pou's and all the characters' faces were taken from the previously mentioned Moy (specifically Moy's design in the first three games). The same also has a sequel called Pet Run for Pou 2.

Pou Shoot Monster

Pou Shoot Monster is a Flash shooter game where Pou is in outer space. In this game, Pou is equipped with a ray gun and has to shoot all the alien monsters on-screen to progress to the next level. Like Pou Slacking, Pou has hands in this game. Here is the walkthrough for the game.

A Smashing Pou Monsters - Kill The Aliens For Human Survival Kids Edition

A Smashing Pou Monsters - Kill The Aliens For Human Survival Kids Edition is a bootleg iOS app wherein the player must kill the Pous trying to reach an orange fruit by quickly tapping on them. The player must tap all the Pous as fast as possible before they finish eating the orange. Pou's "top view" can be seen in this game.

Cover Pou

Cover Pou is a Flash game in which you have to cover all the Pous from the rain using the wooden beams lying on the floor. The game is based on Cover Orange by FDG Entertainment.

Pouf Farts

List of Pou Internet phenomena/Fan games and bootlegs is a prank app created by Fakur Games. The app features a crudely drawn image of Pou with feet and wings. Clicking on it results in a "farting" sound effect. When the Pou clone is repeatedly pressed, a disturbing image of a girl with long hair and a white dress appears with a loud scream. For those who are brave enough to try, the game can be downloaded here.
