Pou (character)
Pou is an alien who is the titular character of the game of the same name.
Appearance
Pou is an alien whose body is a round edged triangle shape. Pou's mouth is located on its left cheek. Pou originally comes in a tan colored body and black eyes, but this can be changed by the player. A Baby Pou's eyes are proportionally larger to its body than an adult one's. However, the player can change Pou's skin and eye colors.

- Pou pants like a dog after being rubbed, much like being tickled.
- Many players believe that Pou is male. However, it is implied in-universe that Pous are a species and not an individual character.
- Pou is referred to as "it" in the game, but in social media accounts, where Pou is portrayed as an individual, male pronouns are used.
- Every time the game is opened after leaving it for too long, Pou will automatically become sick, get dirty, and defecate only in the bathroom.
- The pronunciation of Pou's name is debatable. Some say it's pronounced "poe", some say it's "poo", and some say it's "pow" or "poh". However, there is a game called Tic Tac Pou, and there is an outfit called the Snowpou.
- The first pronouncation is more common in Latin America and Asia.
- Paul Salameh voiced Pou by speeding up his voice.
- Pou is neither a Poos nor a potato, but an alien.
- Wherever the player drags their finger along the screen, Pou will look at it.
- When Pou gets coins while playing minigames, they will open their mouth wide, slightly lower it, and then finally close it.
- Pou's maximum age is 270. Though unadvisable, the number can be increased through modding the game.
- Apparently, the design of Pou was supposed to be a potato, but this was later changed in development.[1]
- In the old app icon and in various early merchandise, Pou had a thicker outline.
